Mrs Lovett

This costume was made for the character of Mrs Lovett for an RCS production of “Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street” (December 2025). Working from Claire Halleran’s costume design, I used a 1840-50’s bodice pattern which I adapted to fit the actor and style of the design. The bodice has a false button up front, with hook and eye tape closure in the back, and the hem is finished with fine wool piping. The skirt is cartridge pleated before being attached to a waistband.
